Upgrading RAM in Ideapad y560p

Hey,

So I did a search on 8GB memory modules for laptops, and according to Crucial.com, I should use DDR3 PC3-10600 RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148345) . But could I get better performance from using this Kingston RAM? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104259)

What's up? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Upgrading RAM in Ideapad y560p

Hi newbie here  Smiley HappyI'm getting a Y560P on wedesnay this week and I want to upgrade the ram from 6 to 8Gb

wich one is the best for it?

4GB PC3-10600 DDR3-1333 Low-Halogen SODIMM Memory
(55Y3711)

or

4GB PC3-8500 DDR3-1066 Low-Halogen SODIMM Memory
(55Y3708)

I'm confused 'cause the description of the ram included says

6 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz. What does the 8500 stands for? But the first one is obviously 1333Mhz...

And I was searching for those... Mentioned previously

Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G RAM Module - 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) - DDR3 SDRAM - 1600 MHz DDR3-1600/PC3-12800 - Non-ECC - Unbuffered - 204-pin SoDIMM

Will they fit ''drop in'' and just work or will they need tweeks-drivers, or whatever? Kingston does warn about over over doing it...

I'll probably stick with the Lenovo (55Y3711) or (55Y3708) depending on the correct one but I am curious
