Oh, I forgot to mention, you would also need to buy a 170w power brick, the 120w that comes with the non-sli models isn't powerful enough so if you dare try to buy the one from Kick then you will also have to find a 170w adapter.

Regardless, since it's cheaper than the price listed on Lenovo's sight, it might be worth a try.
If it doesn't work, I'll just complain until they give me a refund or allow me to exchange my current laptop for an SLI version.

Well if this is the case, should I just give up on hoping Lenovo will actually make this product usable? As much as I'm hoping that an update may be able to fix this issue, I'm doubtful Lenovo cares enough to put forth the effort to fix this.
I will not be recommending this company to anyone from now on.

I wouldn't bother buying a card until they actually come out with a fix for it. If you want to try and buy the card and then return the entire unit for a working one then you will be out of a laptop for weeks.
