When you looked at the compatability report for the upgrade, did it say VeriFace Pro was compatible? If not there's no way to get it back sadly, although Windows 10 does have built in face and iris recognition software.

Edit: Corrected typo ;).

Yeah :( sorry that didn't work out. You can try the WIndows face sign in though, maybe that'll work.

The move is far to soon to Windows 10, especially if you're after solid driver not in Beta and everything working as it came with Windows 8.1.

I have been reading the Windows 10 forum threads and a lot of question are popping up. I doubt Lenovo has a package of drivers and tools fully certified for the new shipping systems at this time nor older models. It will likely be months before everything is available and workable. I pop into the OS threads now and then now just to see if actual solutions are provided. I for one don't want to spend a week or more trying to get everything working as it is now. Certainly not on a main system.

Unlless you have a test systems and/or another HD to pop in to do a clean install (no possible at this time as no ISO is provided) going back will be hard.

While Windows 10 does natively support facial recognition for login, that feature will unfortunately remain unavailable for most of us - including virtually anyone using a Lenovo laptop.

Windows 10's implementation requires high-end depth cameras, and if you don't have one installed the OS won't even present you the option to setup facial recognition.

In short, Windows 10 does not offer a replacement for Veriface - would be really nice to see a Win10-compatible version in the near future.

Ok how long does it take to either get Windows Hello working or Veriface working? Come on Lenovo, ever hear of Customer Satisfaction?

Oh wow, Veriface is my default method of logging into my Z70-80. Another reason not to move to Windows 10 at this time. I have been watching the drivers released and Lenovo is so far behind in updating the video versions its almost criminal to ignore releasing the customized versions for its machines. If I upgrade I want the system stable and done as quickly as possible.

Nope it won't either. Having looked into the Window 10 solution requires a very specific camera made by Intel or equivalent if any are out there. But not the typical notebook webcam built in.

Its (Veriface) is not supported at all was the answer from Tech Support. I called yesterday after upgrading my notebook. I just thought I'd have to reinstall the app but its missing in downloads. Win 8.1 version won't work at all. So its back to the keyboard login. A step backwards on this but why wasn't it clear from the being its NOT SUPPORTED at all. I read it needed to be uninstall before but it actually doesn't make any difference since upgrading MS removes it anyway as I found out. Its a long time since the release of Win 10 but no solution for it and no finger scanner as I have on my Thinkpad here on the Z70. Huge Bummer....
