Video camera to fit Z580 Windows 7

2013-06-21, 10:09 AM

Hello to all,

Can someone recommend a video camera that works well with the Z580? The main purpose is for downloading video from the camera, to a good quality, and then editing with Adobe. Do I need a capture device? If so please recommend one. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your reply Alaa.

While the Z580 has a good built in camera, what I am looking for is a separate video camera that will work well with the laptop. As I said, the main purpose is to download video from the camera, to a good quality, and then edit it with Adobe. Do I need a capture device? If so please recommend one.

In general I don't understand why, apart from Apple ( the Mac), all the manufacturers (including Lenovo) have chosen to design their laptops without a firewire input port. I'm sure there are lots of people like me who want to film video using an external video camera and then download it to a laptop, whilst preserving the quality, and subsequently editing the raw video using software like Adobe. What solution can Lenovo offer to people like me?

I'd be grateful for any assistance you can offer.
