What is the 24GB SSD for in the Y series?

I asked their support and they said the OS is installed on it. Is that true? I'm getting different answers so I wanted to make sure. I'm buying the Y410P tomorrow if you want to know the exact one. And does the Y410P support SSD?

Re: What is the 24GB SSD for in the Y series?

It is being used as a cache to preload the most commonly used applications as well as necessary boot files to make Windows fast. Read more here: ExpressCache

By the way, OS + windows updates won't fit on a 24 GB SSD. It has to be used as a cache. Some manufacturers use Intel Smart Response technology while others use ExpressCache, and I believe Lenovo uses the ExpressCache.
