Hello! Are there any other solutions which might work? Or is there someone competent enough to help us? From what I've seen, the staff members were only able to tell us to change the drivers...thank you staff members! I've spent quite some money on my laptop, so I think I should at least be announced if you had problems with the Wi-Fi adapter. Thus being said, I (like the rest of you) am eager to see a reply from anyone wich has a solution (other than: try changing your driver).

My solution I pointed over. Also I'm afraid there is no other ( except tring differet drivers ). Or buy other laptop ( Samsung, HP ). And no, it is not a joke unfortunately.

Re: WiFi unstable on Lenovo Z510

I am a musician, bought this laptop for using Cubase mainly. I was very happy for the first few days, it worked stabile and very smooth in my projects, exept the wifi. Now it is time for me to say, right now I'm very upset, 'cause I've spent so much time to solve this problem, and can't found a solution not here, but nowhere else. Seems it is a well known problem, everybody knows about it, and still no solution...I can't download, I can't even check my mails...So slow...I'm using my old notebook to download, and to check my mails, surf the web, and then I have to use a f... USB key to transfer what I downloaded. And it is not only uncomfortable, I use a lot of things for my projects, so it really slows down the whole thing. By the way my old laptop is 6 years old, it came with me so many places, it was on stage with me etc. and I bought it for the half of the money then the price of this lenovo Z510. So anyway, actually I'm still in that period when I can change this laptop for onother one for free, but really do I have to? Or lenovo will be able to solve his problem?

Hello Lenovo

A few days ago i bought a Z510 , after installing Windows 7 , all the lenovo drivers from the website and windows updates ,  untill now i was connecting to the internet by LAN cable.

But when i started using wireless i noticed that the internet connection drops , my wireless is a tp-link with a 300mb/s but i can`t get more than 20 - 25 mb/s , other laptops connections works perfect  . Please help me fix this , i don`t want to return the product just because of this wireless

the problem is due to both WIFI and BLUETOOTH Switched ON. use the above link and switch off the bluetooth. now wifi connects without lag and works normal :)

If the solutions above did not work, look through this thread, someone had a similar issue to yours: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Z510-Wireless-Problem/td-p/1369443/page/2

open the device manager
expand network adapters
-- choose your wireless card

in the new window open the power management tab, you will find the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power " option checked ... uncheck this option and everything should work fine.

Hi.

I have Lenovo Z510 working OK on Win7 x64 with drivers from lenovo support site. Full speed and any disconnections.

I'm using it about 1,5 month BUT with disabled bluetooth adapter. I have only problem that some times it don't want ot reconnect to WiFi after sleep but it can be solved with disable -> enable WiFi adapter. I only have problem with WiFi switch. Can't find it or if it on Fn+F7 it don't work.
