Re: Wifi not working

Hi,

I am having the same problem in my E520 (1453).  Similar problem is described here, too:http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/Can-t-turn-on-WiFi-on-Windows-8-X131e-3372-2VU... The suggested solutions haven't worked for me.

Re: Wifi not working

This is weird, but I found this solution from another post: "Ok, it will sound crazy but I found the solution to the problem. Turn off ur lap top, take battery of and leave it like that for couple of minutes (I had it off for 5 mins) and then put it back in (battery) turn it on and it will work, well it did for me !!"

I lost the wireless control button functionality but at least my wifi is working now. :-)

Re: Wifi not working

Thank you so much! This solved my wireless problem.

The wireless control button in my E520 didn't  work and I couldn't turn the WiFi on. The button turned on and off the Windows Airplane Mode but not WiFi.

Re: Wifi not working

There are several issues that cause it to stop working, recognizing them timely and acting to fix is the key to overcome such annoying problems.

1. make sure Wi-Fi is not turned on:

2.Disable the firewall for some time

3.Restore Windows to the last working configuration

4.Reinstall the wireless drivers
