Re: Windows 7 32-bit on 3000 Y410 wireless slider switch problem

tuksgig

I recently bought a used Y410, and installed
Win 7 32 bit, clean install to blank hard drive.

Wireless slider switch works fine after cold boot.
Turns it on and off.

The only driver I installed that would affect the
switch would be Energy Cut. Same version as you.

I installed it in Compatibility Mode for Vista,
and set to Run as Administrator.

Re: Windows 7 32-bit on 3000 Y410 wireless slider switch problem

Hi Duck,

Thanks for your reply. I found the solution by accident. Because my audio exhibited the same problem I tried installing Realtek's audio driver (HDA driver R2.64 from www.realtek.com). After this audio started working after a cold boot and, miraculously, the WiFi slider switch now also works from cold boot! How an audio driver can influence WiFi is beyond me, but hey, I'm not complaining.Smiley Very Happy
