It is clear from this board that Lenovo has not provided 64-bit Windows 7 drivers for all IdeaPad Y and U series laptops. While some users have had success repurposing 64-bit Vista drivers and drivers from other models for use on Windows 7 64-bit machines lacking macthing drivers, many have not.
Has anyone received any definitive word from Lenovo as to whether Lenovo intends to provide these drivers and, if so, what date they are targeting for availability? Or has anyone heard whether it is Lenovo's position that it is not supporting Windows 7 64-bit on these computers?
My email to support acknowledged the lack of availability but indicated there was no further information at this time.

Thanks. Those responses don't answer my questions, though. I know they don't have the drivers; what I want to know is what position they are taking with respect to providing them, i.e., they have decided not to provide them, or they are working on them and hope to have them by some stated date in the future -- hopefully not that they haven't even thought about it despite the fact that Windows 7 has been out now for over 3 months.
