Y-510 Movie Sound Problem

Hi all

I have just shelled out for a Ideapad 510 and am very happy. nice machine.

The only prob I'm having is when I play a movie, the volume is low, even with the sound turned up full. Games seem to be OK and are louder than movies.

I've looked over the settings for a clue but can't find anything. I'm sure I'm missing something.

Any clues?

Thanks heaps

Glen

Re: Y-510 Movie Sound Problem

I am also having this same problem.  I can listen to music at a resonable sound level but watching movies is unbearably quiet. Windows Media Center and Windows Media player are the programs I use for both music and movies.  Perhaps it is a problem with these programs?  I also currently have vista on my system.  Hopefully someone has a solution for our problem.

Re: Y-510 Movie Sound Problem

Try installing Realtek native driver from official site, version 1.94 - it solves many issues.
Also try using VLC player - pressing Ctrl+ArrowUp increases volume there up to 400%.
