I have been having problems with the graphics card on the laptop (Y40) since i purchased 2 weeks ago, however after the last time i updated the graphics driver to the 14.7 version this was working.
Since yesterday the graphics card is now being disabled again by Windows (code 43 in device manager)
After uninstalling the driver it recognised the hardware as the 8800M, then finally back to a non functional R9 m275x.
I have tried the beta and the non beta drivers from AMD, as well as automatically detecting, both via windows and the AMD downloader, and neither work.
Can anyone suggest what i can do to get this working again?

Laptop on its way back to Lenovo for repair today...
Tried to do pointless troubleshooting over the phone last night and they finally realised that i wasnt talking rubbish about it being broken...
Hopefully gets sorted and back to me next week!

Just received this back from Lenovo, they said they had replaced the motherboard and fixed it, but when i turned on the computer and checked device manager nothing had been done, was still broken.
Now they are saying that a clean reboot will fix it, but to be honest, if i thought that was the truth they would have done it there.
How did they not notice that the device manager was still showing an error is my question, after this "motherboard replacement"

I just got a lenovo Y40 today, and I updated the drivers, and this is exactly what happened. I figured out how to fix it though. first, uninstall your graphics card drivers, using device manager, Then, head to this link:
What I did wrong was, I downloaded the newest driver, but it turns out that the driver was for windows 7, I don't know if thats what you did, but downloading and installing this driver resolved the issue for me. It will then show up as AMD Radeon HD 8800M in the device manager.
I just discovered something. the AMD Catalyst is not installed, so try downloing this:

My fix was slightly differerent... When i reinstalled my Lenovo USB 3.0 dock i noticed that it disabled th card again, so i just uninstalled the dock software, and that fixed the problem perfectly!

Where did you get USB 3.0 drivers? The only ones I can find from Lenovo are for Windows 7. I'm also having the same graphics issue, and the Catalyst software that was suggested before didn't help. It didn't even recognize that an AMD card was present, it only communicated with the onboard Intel card.
