Y400 Running Hot

So, my Y400 just hit one year old, and it seems to be running very hot on the bottom of the keyboard, particularly the lower left corner.

I blew out the heat sink with some compressed air, and have a cooler pad underneath.  I question the value of the cooler pad, as it seems like most of the heat diffuses through the wrist area and the keyboard.  Anyone else enountering this, or have any advice on cooling the old girl down?

Re: Y400 Running Hot

hi prifkind

Thanks for Posting!

I suggest Cleaning the Heatsink and re-pasting (thermal paste)  would resolve the Temperature issue.

You can refer to this service training guide on how to get to the parts safely.

Hope this helps

Cheers!
