Y410 P Laptop Not Regaining Charge

 

 Hello, my Lenovo Y410P laptop has been doing great and completing all of the tasks I have asked it to complete, but since the start of June, I have noticed that the laptop isn't gaining charge. It is slowly but surely decreasing and will not regain even though it says "Plugged in, Charging". It is now at 63% and seems to drop 1% every 4-6 days. It decreases more when it is unplugged and cannot regain. It does not regain charge even when it is turned off. Any suggestions on a solution?

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

 

I’m sorry to hear about the situation, please let me know the status of battery displayed in LEM (Lenovo Energy Management) and also change the battery mode to “Maximum Performance” and if the issue persists even after changing the mode. Perform “Battery Gauge Reset” in the computer using LEM.

Unfortunately, when doing the battery guage reset, the battery life did not decrease. So, I manually drained the battery life, but when I attempted to fully recharge it, it will still not increase. It is now at "0% available, (plugged in, charging)". Any other solutions?

As you have performed all the possible troubleshooting steps and the issue persists. The only available option is to contact our Technical Support for further Assistance to get the details of the nearest Authorized Service Center to get the issue analyzed.
