Y410P HEATING PROBLEMS

I got a brand new Y410p recently and whenever I play games my temps would shoot up like crazy.

I have disabled Turbo.

The image shows after about 30 minutes of gaming on Battlefield 3 on medium

and if I continue to play longer I use MSI Afterburner to measure temps and 99C temps are present
is there something wrong with my laptop Smiley Sad?

Re: Y410P HEATING PROBLEMS

The temps are definitely not normal for medium settings. Try the suggestions I have posted in this link -

You may also consider buying a laptop cooler such as CoolerMaster X3

Re: Y410P HEATING PROBLEMS

Hello everyone, I got my y41p for about a month now. The laptop has heat problem when playing games. When running BF3 on medium I would get up to 98C GPU and 99C CPU after 30 minutes of playing. I elevate my laptop when playing when it still get hots. I disabled turbo on my CPU but it still gets so hot any help?

Thanks for any input
