Y430 Keyboard Key fell off

I purchased my Y430 5 months back. I believe it should be still under warranty. It is for my wife.

One day while using it, the 'T' key just popped out. Will this be covered under the warranty?

I am 100% sure the parts that keep the key attached to the keyboard are broken. So there is no way to attach it back on.

Please help and tell me what I should do.

Thanks.

Re: Y430 Keyboard Key fell off

i think the keys falling off is not covered under warranty, if it is not responding or not working then it is covered under warranty. But give Lenovo service a call.

Re: Y430 Keyboard Key fell off

key is not a replaceable part, they just change the laptop's keyboard. Also Ideapad's keyboard is not a customer replaceable part like it is in Thinkpad, so they have to do it for you at the depot otherwise your warranty will be voided.
