I have recently received a new Y430. Upon receiving the new system, the hard drive failed almost immediately. Several tests show that there are multiple read errors.
So, I have purchased a new hard drive and proceeded to install Windows Vista and all the necessary drivers from Lenovo's web site. However, there is some software that I cannot seem to find/obtain, and I did not receive any discs with the laptop.
Several features, such as Dolby Control Center, is not available. I cannot find the installer anywhere for my machine. Also, not all the media controls work (the only ones that do work are the playback controls, but then again those do not always work). The mute function works, but sometimes the software for the volume control is spotty (sometimes working, sometimes not). The subwoofer seems to be affected as well, as no bass seems to be produced from this speaker.
Any and all help to this situation would be greatly appreciated.
