I noticed that there's a 3G sim card slot in my laptop,
and reading previous posts in this forum,
it seems that the device is disabled due to some IDA policy.
However, on the lenovo drivers website,
there are drivers for the 3G sim card slot.
I am unable to spot the device in Device manager, and do not know if i can use the drivers.
I would like to know if the drivers are able to activate the 3G sim card slot?

Are you sure you've got a 3G modem in there ? Having a card slot doesn't mean having a modem inside. It's just ready to install one. If you can't see the modem in device manager, you sould check opening your computer to see it there is one in.
