Y480 Partitions and dual booting

So, my Y480 came with 4 partitions on the C drive. Windows 7 only supports 4 partitions, so I cannot make a new one to install ubuntu and dual boot on it. It has the C: partition, and a few recoveries, which I am assuming are for the onekey feature...Can these safely be deleted and created into a new partition for me to dual boot windows 7 and ubuntu? Thanks

Re: Y480 Partitions and dual booting

Hi heleonardman

Welcome in Lenovo Forums

Deleting or even resizing drive C plus the recovery partitions that contain the recovery image will make you losing the recovery as an option

i recommend if you would like to install Ubuntu so first try to create a recovery media and then go with the dual installation

Hope the above solution can help enough

Thanks

Alaa

Re: Y480 Partitions and dual booting

I know I will loose the recovery image, I don't care about it. I know what im doing with the computer, and I was just wondering if it was going to mess up my boot partition/render me unbootable if I contenue.
