Y50-70 BIOS upgrade 9ECN40WW

Oddities after performing this upgrade.

First instance, Cyberfox browser heading menu bars change appearance or disappear. Options page for adding icons on menu bar appears balnk.

Second instance, run Belarc Advisor. This aborts without warning message before screen diplay of analysis.

I can only tie these matters down to the upgrade of the BIOS.

How do I revert to earlier BIOS - I am unable o find earlier files of BIOS, and if I attempt to reload the new BIOS, it tells me that it is already loaded.?

Re: Y50-70 BIOS upgrade 9ECN40WW

Hello there,

I had a issue with the fan noise and the heat. I read in lenovo forum site to install the new 9ECN40WW bios version and that it will solve the problem.

The thing is, this slow down my pc in minutes just to start up, it didn't solve any kind of problems with the noise or the heat. So, i would like to know if theres any way to restore the previous bios version that i had.

Setup lenovo y50-70 4720HQ 860gtx 4g 16g ram

Thank you

Re: Y50-70 BIOS upgrade 9ECN40WW

I upgraded the bios to version 9ECN43WW.

The only problm that I seem to have is that i can't set anymore boot device priority. I try to move the DVD upper the SATA, I save, but again when I turn of / turn on the y50 and enter into bios, the legacy order is changed as before: SATA then DVD.

What should I do? Should I restore my older version of bios? But how?
