Y50-70 Hibernate drains battery

2015-08-16, 19:37 PM

Hello,

I have a Y50-70 with windows 10 and I put it in Hibernate mode. The next morning the laptop won't start until I plug it to the power and the battery shows 0%. It happens every time...

Has that happened to anyone? How can I fix it?

Did you try enabling Battery Save mode?

Yes I tried and it doesn't help ....  And I don't think that Hibernating a computer shouldn't be affected by the battery saver mode.

If I am the only one with this problem, could it be caused by a driver?

I had the same problem. After installing the latest drivers (for Windows 10) from the Lenovo site problem corrects itself.

For sake of the OP, and others in the future, which update(s) did you install?

I installed all available drivers, but I think that the two are enough:

- Energy Manager and Flight Mode Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Intel Chipset Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Cepeeng,

Did installing the drivers fix your problem?

Hi,

Yes it did fix the problem. The computer now consumes no power while Hibernating.
