Hi Lenovo community,
I have lenovo Y50-70 gaming laptop, used to heat up a lot while charging near the W S A D keys and the left palm rest. One evening while the laptop was turned on doing nothing intensive like gaming. It starts smoking up from one of the vents and shuts itself down, shocked by the situation I immediately unplugged the laptop.
Long story short, gave it a rest of 1 day, it turned ON on battery just fine, feels like nothing has heppened but no more charging! if I try to plug charger in laptop again, it start to smell. Upon closer inspection:
It has burnt 2 mosfets, a fused and some other things. Never in my past 15+ years using a computer I ever encountered a burning laptop motherboard.
Did anyone else face the similar situation? I guess I'd try with warranty since its been only 4-5 months (if lenovo won't sees opening the back case as violation of some sort).

They shouldn't clearly the motherboard need replacing. Send or take the charger with you as well. They can test that its working properly.
