recently the clicking of my touchpad stopped working . In the beginning, right-clicking was very difficult, now it is also left-clicking and the warranty has expired, which is very annoying.
So it is possible to use the mouse and also touch/tip and multitouch, but not the clicking function. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? So I'm looking for DIY instructions or ideas. Or maybe there is such a problem with the Y50.
it is not a software problem. all drivers are up to date.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
If it`s physically not clicking, then that would indicate a hardware issue with the unit.
You would have to dissassemble it and check the connections and find what is causing the issue/ possibly replace the touchpad itself.
If you are confident that you can do this yourself, just simply follow the manual, that will walk you through on how to dissassemble and how.
You can also find the manual on the support page:
Also, video walkthroughs and how-tos:
Otherwise, you would be better of getting in touch with your local Lenovo support line, and see if they are able to offer some sort of repair for you. Or simply visit any thirdparty repair shop you have access to.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
