Hello everyone, I see this is an old topic, but reading through it, it seems like you all know your stuff fairly well. I was talking to a rep and they didn't help.
Context: (see image for details) My BIOS Version/Date is LENOVO 5DCN90WW(V8.01), 2012-10-11. I am running Windows 10 on it. I had issues with the update centre not working, and one person suggested I update the bios (the original issue is now resolved using a different method).
Question: I saw on the site that this bios update is newer (2013) but is made for windows 7. Considering I am running windows 10 on mine currently (with little to no problems), is it worth updating the bios? What are the pros/cons and can I even do it?
Thanks in advance for all help.

If you aren't having issues, or looking for a specific feature that was added, I never recommend updating bios. Especially since they seem to have problems with some bios versions not working correctly on all hardware, and the possibility of bricking an out of warranty laptop.
