Has anyone been able to get Miracast working with Ideapad Y50 running Windows 8.1? I've updated all of my Lenovo and Intel drivers, and tried connecting using both a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter and a Netgear PTV3000 (both Widi and Miracast enabled), and neither will work. With both devices, Windows sees the device, when I click connect the TV shows "connecting to <my laptop name>, and then nothing happens, and it never connects. Yes, I've tried with the Windows Firewall off. With both devices I can connect my Samsung Galaxy S3 to the TV flawlessly, so I know the devices themelves are working fine. As far as I can tell the video and wireless adapter on the Y50 are supposed to support WiDi and Miracast. Any help would be appreciated. I'm at the point where I'm ready to give up and pick up Chromecast, which is a shame, because the WiDi / Miracast technology is very promising.
