Y50 warranty

I opened the backplate of my Y50 to see what is causing the clicking sound, i saw the fan is clicking on certain temperatures, and the HDD was the only part what had the "warranty stickers", as i didnt touch the HDD, i assume i havent lost the warranty by just looking inside the laptop?

No problem with the warranty.  Laptop back covers can be opened without effecting coverage.

 

Did you ever find the source of the clicking sound ?

I see now the fan noise is an on going problem with that model.  Unfortuantely I don't have any advice for you on fixing the problem.  It sounds like either faulty fans were installed or it is a design problem with the fan itself.  Hopefully Lenovo will step up to the plate and resolve the issue.
