Y500 with two external screens

Is it possible to use two external monitors with the Lenovo Y500 laptop?

I would like to use it with two Dell U2412M screens (1920x1200), one with a HDMI-DVI cable and the other with a VGA-VGA cabel. Is this supposed to work?

(I don't expect the two external screens AND the laptop screen to work together, I would like to close the lid of the laptop and work with the two external screens only).

Thanks in advance.

Re: Y500 with two external screens

hi DanielMurphy,

This will work, Computer has a GPU soldered to the Board and

According to Intel your Chipset (Intel HM76 Express Chipset)  will support up to three display and this Includes your Built in display

No Problems with the HDMI to DVI conversion since both supports digital signals

see Intel's info here

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/hm76-mobile-chipset-brief.html

Hope this helps,

cheers!
