I noticed many people posting about an unknown ACPI device which cannot be resolved after upgrading to Vista x64, because Lenovo doesn't provide the 64-bit driver for it.

However, browsing through a friend's Lenovo catalog, I noticed that the Y730, which is soon to be released, will ship with Vista 64-bit! 

Hopefully this will mean that 64-bit drivers for the ACPI device will soon be available (as of now there are no Y730 drivers up on the Lenovo website). That is, if it is compatible with the Y510 at all.

Thoughts?

I have isolated the 64bit drivers needed to fix the ACPI problem for vista 64 and have uploaded them. Read the readme file in the zip archive and the problem should be fixed. It worked for me!

The Lenovo Y730 Energy Management Drivers located at the link provided by Skripatch seemed to solve the issue for Windows 7 64-bit.  However, after installing I keep getting ACPI failures that lock the computer up.

I'm going to use KillFire's solution now and see how that goes...
