Y510P Reset Battery

My battery keeps jumping from 40% to 7% within a matter of minutes. I tried resetting my battery but the battery won't go to 100% charged to be able to reset it (it only charges to 99%). How do I fix my batter if I cannot fully charge the battery and then fully discharge the battery?

Re: Y510P Reset Battery

Hi schoen1996 ,

Greetings.

Initially set power option to full performance.

Proceed with uninstalling Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from the device manager.

Check if able to charge to 100 % , else proceed by uninstalling Energy Management from control panel's program and features . Restart and check

Download and install updated Energy manager tool and BIOS from the support site run battery gauge calibration. Check the integrity of the battery from battery information in Energy management and run battery report to compare .

Update us how things go.

Regards
