Re: Y510P ssd upgrade

A 24 gb SSD is small for the OS... Now-a-days, Windows needs 50 gb when all is said and done. I would buy a 240 gb Hdd for $110 at tiger direct and place my 1 TB HDD in a CD drive caddy. You will however lose your CD drive.

And yes, a SSD is a night to day difference.

Re: Y510P ssd upgrade

You need to firstly check if your notebook has M.2 connector installed.  If it has, you can buy 24GB M2 drive and use it as express cache or just go for 128GB as OS drive.

If your notebook does note have the connector then, unless you want to install the connector yourselves, replace the 1TB with SSD and forget about the M.2 option.
