I have the lenovo Y510p with 8GB, GT755m, FHD screen and 4700QM.
I have this notebook 4 days now, and today I played my first game (CS:GO) on it.
After 15-20 minutes the CPU (core 1 & 2) reach 98°C wich causes the CPU to throttle to 800MHz and the FPS drop to 30. After ~20 seconds the temperatures were 85°C and the CPU went back to 2.4GHz. After 10 minutes it's again to hot, throttles down again,... and so on.
I know there are a lot of people facing this problem with this notebook, but I noticed that the FAN-speed isn't at it's maximum speed. The fan makes less noise/RPM than when I use the Dust-removal function. So maybe if Lenovo makes a BIOS update wich let the fanspeed go higher or wich can let us disable HyperThreading (it's useless in games), we can lower the heat and thus fix the problem.
