Y510p SLI power adapter chirping noise and laptop dead

I was playing a video game when my laptop suddently went completely black and a chirping sound started to come out of the power adapter. I tried to take the battery out and put it back but the laptop won't open at all. There is no LED lights flashing. There is NO response at all.

What to do? Did my laptop just plunged into oblivion?

I still have a warranty on it since i only had it for a couple of weeks. But then again, will i lose all my data if it is replaced?

Probably should call support. Sounds like you might have had a power surge through the adpater. If you're worried about your data, it's simple enough to remove your hard drive. Just do that before you send it in. You probably want to see about getting a new adapter too since it's beeping.
