Y510p can't disable adaptive brightness

2017-01-15, 16:52 PM
I cannot disable adaptive brightness on my y510p laptop when running off the battery. There's no issue when plugged in. I've already tried going through power settings and disabling the service manually, which only managed to solve the issue when plugged in. Any help would be appreciated! Hi Heisendinger

Thanks for posting!

I assume you've turnt of 'Enable adaptive brightness' for both 'On battery' and 'Plugged in' in Power Options? If so, have you tried disabling it 'On battery' whilst your unit is not charging? If you've already tried both, then the links below may be of some use to you.

Lenovo

Intel

It may also be worth updating your BIOS driver from the Lenovo support page as I seen this resolve this issue for others, just pop in your SN, then find the relevant driver under 'Drivers & Software'.

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on
