Hi, I wanna turn on the laptop and have the Num Lock key activated. Right now I've edited the registry value from "HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard/InitialKeyboardIndicators". I changed the value "2147483648" by number "2".
The issue is still there, cause not ALWAYS I turn on the laptop, the Num Lock is activated, just sometimes, which is also weird too. So... what do I have to do to set Num Lock to activated by default when turning on?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've gone to BIOS and I've seen nothing about the Num Lock key. I have BIOS v3.05 rev 3.7.
Anyways, I've changed the value from 2 to 2147483650, as you say, but still doesn't turn on with the key ON. What can I do?
Thank you very much!
PD: A month ago I tried to solve this problem, and I read that I had to change that reg value, which was 2147483648, by 2. Problem not really solved. Now you recomend me to replace 2 by 2147483650. XD, what is going on?

I actually had this same problem before I combined reposonses online. I made sure that the HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/CONTROL PANEL/KEYBOARD
Both IntialKeyboardIndicators value are both set to 2 then you should see the difference when you restart.
I personally have a pin setup on my startup and it worked perfect after making the changes and restarted.

Ok, thanks, Now I've changed EVERY single Keyboard Indicator Value to 2, in every USER in regedit I've found.
But the problem still there. Anyways, now it's a little bit better: I think that everytime I restart the laptop, it starts with the NumLock activated, BUT, if I shut it down, randomness comes again.
I shut down the laptop 90% of times, of course, cause restart is only when you install an update or something like that. So, the problem is still there.
Seriously, why BIOS doesn't care of this? There should be a BIOS option to do this easy and fast. I'm really upset with this BIOS, it seems to be a BIOS for a $300 laptop, my god, it doesn't allow you to do anything.
BTW, I don't have this registry path: HKEY_USERS/CONTROL PANEL/KEYBOARD. DO you really have that?
