Making a bit of headway.
Had to load intel chipset drivers twice, first time things went kind of nutty.
But I actually saw the setup installing HDMI drivers on the screen.
AFter it completed, and I rebooted, the audio was gone, NO Realtek on the machine.
So I reinstalled it.
Y530 now DOES show the *HDMI setup screen* when I push <Fn><F3>.
It will ONLY allow me to chose Laptop OR External device --- it will NOT let me chose BOTH...that side of setup screen is *greyed out*.
When I pick *External* my laptop screen goes black, and there IS NO video from the TV, set to HDMI mode.
The TV did NOT show the typical *No Signal* message on the TV screen, but the laptop desktop does not show up.
Since I had no screen to go by anymore, I had to shut down the laptop, but upon reboot, the screen is still blank.
Remembering the HDMI jack into the laptop, I again rebooted without the cable attached and video screen came back...on the laptop.
I tried a few more times to get it to go with same result each time.
Black screen on laptop, and on TV.
In the past, in Vista, the dual monitor option would work.

I checked theTV manual for setting for HDMI, there weren't any, just the suggestion for resolution.
However, I did notice a picture of the HDMI jacks on the TV, there were TWO.
I was in the number two jack and was setting TV for the number one jack.
So your driver fix that allowed me to Function/F3 made the fix, but the right jack finalized it.
Your time was not totally wasted on me.
Thanks so much for your patience.
