Y530 Video Problems

I have a Y530, when I put in a I watch a DVD using Windows Media Player or Quicktime, the screen flickers and flashes making it impossible to see the screen.  Seems like it may be a driver problem but haven't found any driver updates.  I have an IdeaPad Y530.  I'm running Vista.  The video card is "Intel Integrated Graphics X4500."  When using VLC media player, I don't have the problem.

Re: Y530 Video Problems

You do not have proper codecks installed. Ot ou have them installed but the work unstable.

VLC uses built-in codecks and for hat doesn't cause problems.

Re: Y530 Video Problems

I had this issue with Y530. On certain DVD menus, Sleeping Beauty DVD, the whole screen had a sync issue. Upgraded video driver from Intel WEB site, after a reboot the problem was reduced and after another reboot no problem, for now.
