Y560 display driver windows 8.1

Hi,

Ihave problem on my ideapad Y560 corei7

1-For some reason this model is not listed with Y series I checked all models I do't know how to find this model to download the drivers.

2-After I upgrade my system to windows 8.1 my video card does not work then I checked Lenovo site to find the correct driver but i did't find anything.

3-The onle drivers listed on Lenovo site is AMD not intel and that caused me big problem, black screen then I booted my system to safe mode to uninstall this driver.

please if someone know the solution or the correct driver just let me know

thanks

Re: Y560 display driver windows 8.1

Specs for your Y560 are here. Starting at PDF page 89.

http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/lipwbook.pdf

You have either Intel HD graphics integrated in processor -or-

ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5730 PCI express card -or-

both.

Do you know the Model of your machine? Check MS sysinfo.

Model 0646-xxx has I7 processors and ONLY ATI graphics cards, thus you need the ATI driver.  Since AMD bought ATI, you need this driver.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows%208.1%20-%2064

This is called the Crimson Edition Beta to support Legacy graphics cards.

Download the Catalyst suite also.

Re: Y560 display driver windows 8.1

I appreciate the help you give me, but I still have the same problem. I downloaded the two drivers and on the installation I get the black screen, there is no image or sound and the device is working, then I used power botton to turn it off.

Re: Y560 display driver windows 8.1

Please state the history of this machine and how it got win 8.1 on it?

Have you owned it for a while?

Your graphics card is Very old.

Please state the model number of your machine to verify graphics specs.

The Lenovo EOL support page shows support up to win 7.

The AMD graphics driver, win 7, version 8.772, is the last Lenovo supported driver.

Your Y560 does not support win 8 from a lenovo viewpoint.

=

If you go into device manager and find the graphics card, provide screen shots of current driver and PNP  device id.

Re: Y560 display driver windows 8.1

I have upgraded my system to windows 10 pro, but I still have the same problem, everything works fine, but when my device detect the new driver I got a blackscreen then I have to reboot the system to safemode and delete the new driver and restart, I did not have any problem like this before with windows 7.
