Y570 keyboard cleaning

2012-02-17, 18:09 PM

Hi All,

I just need some help with my Lenovo.

There was an accidaent with soy keyboard and some coffee, so I need to remove the keyboard ad try to clean it.

I followed the hardware guide for removal but it did not work. The step after removing hte oe screw is not possible for me. I cannot lift the keyboard.

Is there any trick? And is it really enaough removing only one screw?

Thx ind advance,

Martha

You haven't explained how you're doing it, but in the manual it looks straight forward.

I hope this helps.

In case there is someone else trying to remove the keyboard.

The manual is not correct. There need to be  two screws removed, not only one. Now it works.

Where do you mean, can you screen shot the manual page and post a picture showing where it's wrong using paint?

As far as I remember, there were really 2 screws for keyboard as far as i remember. If you look closely while taking the lappie apart, you can see the small keyboard logos at 2 screws.
