Y570 ventilation problems after upgrade win8

Hi, I apologize for my English.

 

I upgrade my ideapad y570 to win 8. Problems with switching graphics and errors I solved easily but I have problem with ventilation of my laptop. I can not switch speed of ventilation. Do you know the solution??

 

I can not play nothing, After 20minutes of playing trackmania nation is my ideapad very hot

hi mpeko,

 

Controlling the fan speed is a BIOS feature. Some have luck using SpeedFan to access this setting but if that doesn't work, this feature might not be enabled or available for your model.

 

As for the overheating issue, this is commonly caused by dried out thermal compound or dirty fan / ventilation. Depending on how long you have had your computer, it's strongly recommended to have it cleaned once a year to prevent any dust build up inside of the PC. It's recommend that after cleaning the fan, clean out the ventilation and replace the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU (if applicable). You can use Artic Silver 5 or Tuniq TX-4.
