I'm trying to reinstall my windows 8 on my 256GB mSATA. OKR no longer offers recovery disk burn option in OKR 8 that ships with win 8 preinstalled y580 models. Windows offers a recovery media creator that uses a 16 gb usb drive but it won't allow me to recover to the msata. WTH am I supposed to do now? Windows 8 pro upgrade from win 8 oem is 69.99 when everyone else win 7 or below can get it for 39.99 or 14.99, so I'm screwed there. Tried downloading an win 8 iso from microsoft but it won't let me because my win 8 key isn't allowed as its oem. Looking for some help here. Not sure what to do besides call lenovo and microsoft retarded.

i've been looking for a way to do this as well. been reading through many of the different threads on here and just can't seem to get it to work. i have a Crucial m4 msata 256b installed and just using it as storage until i can figure out an easy way to do a restore to the msata drive, as using a boot drive i created through windows on a 16GB flash drive did not work as i had hoped it would.
@ishaan - i've uploaded the OKR folder from my D drive to mediafire:

Just went to the Microsoft Store and asked them.. They said try the "Windows 7 File Recovery" under windows 8.. This is ridiculous.. im trying to reinstall the OS on an mSata drive for my Y580.
Attempting to do a system image backup to a USB drive now.. also created a bootable recovery (not restore) CD.. Im hoping that the recovery CD will let me install an image to the msata.. but honestly im not hopeful.
