Y70-70 survives a fall

I spent 1,7g on the Y70 as I was going home it fell out of the case and hit the pavement (3ft) landing on the lid seperating the screen. I was greefed beyond belief and hurried back to the store. After getting me some water, the tech turned the Y70 on and the seperated screen turned on. Joy and joy on top of joy I used pliers to reshape the aluminum lid while the tech went to the store to buy some tape to rap the lid. If it wasn't for the extended metal lip, I would have lost the screen. Had this been a plastic case, the Y70 would like had ended up in a landfill, but I am still using the Y70 today with no further problems.

This potential disaster sold me on metal Lenovo.

PS I would suggest adding a thick rubber bumper to the lip, thankyou.

Re: Y70-70 survives a fall

Hello @bugas, nice to have you here!

Sorry for the delayed response as well, just joined here recently and noticed your post.

That's nice to know that the Y70-70 device is still working without any issues despite of what happen.

We've definitely dodged a bullet in there.

Yes, the screen would've been broken if it wasn't for the metal part.

You can definitely post again on this forum's site or may use this link instead should you have any other concerns about the device in the future.

Thanks for sharing this story btw.
