Y700-17ISK Backlight Bleeding

I just purchsed this laptop from Newegg. I noticed that there is some backlight bleed on startup. When im playing a game or browsing, I can't really tell. It's only when the entire screen is black or the majority of it. Attached are pics i took to help identify if this is a normal thing or If I should return it back to newegg.

Re: Y700-17ISK Backlight Bleeding

Hi xlid007 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Try to check if same bleed if apparent in the BIOS (access BIOS by turning on the laptop using the novo button  item1 page 72) as same position of the bleed even if you change angles or views . Press a bit on those area and see if this would progress as similar to tight screws that may be applying pressure on the screen .

As for me , seems not normal and may not be tolerable so it would be better to check with the reseller for possible replacement since this is a newly purchased pc or if you would like repairs to call in technical support for the service.
