Yoga 510-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) Monitor driver problem

Hi,

I have recently bought a new USB to VGA adapter (the Yoga is only fitter with HDMI)

After installing the device driver, it requested a reboot

After the Lenovo prompt, everything turns black

On Safe mode, everything looks fine but when i check the Device Manager, the monitor is now showing:
"Generic PnP Monitor" - "Driver Error"  (instead of Lenovo display or ideapad display ..)

The support website only allows downloading the Display Adapters drivers (Intel and AMD in my case). but both in the device manager seem fine.

Is there a way to download the original Lenovo Monitor Driver?

Anything else i should try?

Re: Yoga 510-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) Monitor driver problem

As an update,

I have downloaded several drivers from http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/lenovo/monitors

i am trying drivers that match my resoltion 1920x1080

even when the driver installs (manually) it still shows an error and if i do a normal restart, i go back to the black screen

How come the display is working perfectly fine in Safe Mode?

what software / driver is disabled in Safe Mode and coming back on normal restart?
