2 months ago my laptop was not running on UEFI mode, suddenly I realized when it goes to sleep it turn off and can not turn on anymore, unless I open the back cover and dettach the battery and connect it again, it happened every 6,7 days. I decided to re-install my windows and run it in UEFI, it was fine but after one month , now again I have the same problem. Is it a problem of BIOS or what? Any body has a solution?

Hi there, Sina -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
It’s possible that:
- The battery circuit inside is not working to unload the charge, or
- One of the battery cells have already reached its life span
- the chip that handles how the battery gets charge/discharge and checks the charge level of each battery cell (both are controlled by a firmware) is malfunctioning.
Also, you can also start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 20 seconds.
Update us how it goes.
