Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

Hello,

I own a Z500 IdeaPad, my bluetooth device stopped working, I tried with LSC to see the problem, but it freezes. I tried to reinstall bluetooth using drivers from Lenovo site, but it was useless. i unintalled my old LSC, and downloaded a new one (Iscsetup_x64x34002), ran it, but it says "product detected is not a Lenovo product".

Can you help me, please.

Thank You.

Re: Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

Hi z500_user1,

I would like to ask some question so I can help with the issue. Is the system still able to detect the bluetooth card? What bluetooth card can you see in device manager, also what wifi card do you have installed? What version of windows do you have?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Cheers,

Re: Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

Hi Jamdy17,

1- Is the system able to detect the bluetooth card:  Yes I guess. with F7, i'm able to activate bluetooth... But my Laptop is not seen by my iphone through bluetooth scan.

2- in device manager, i see under [other devices] an unknow device with a yellow flag.  and in its properties-details-device identification number, i see the values:

USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA&REV_7869
USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA
i googled and found that it corresponds to intel centrino bluetooth driver... does this cope with my z500 hardware?

3- network adapters in device manager, i see these:

                           - miniport microsoft virtual wifi

                           - intel centrino wireless- N2230

                           - microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter #2

                           - Realtek PCIe FE family controller

                           - VMware virtual ethernet adapter for VMnet1

                           - VMware virtual ethernet adapter for VMnet8

4- Windows 7, 64 bits.

Re: Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

Hi,

It seems like the system lost the drivers for the Bluetooth. Please download the driver for the wifi and bluetooth from www.intel.com for win7.

Re: Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

Hi Jamdy17,

I did install from intel's site the following:

1- Wireless_19.20.3_PROSet64_Win7.exe  ------------- with success

2- BT_19.40.1702_64_Win7.exe---------------------with success.

but my laptop is still unseen through bluetooth, and the yellow flag in the device manager is still present with the same properties!

3- for the network adapters in device manager, i now see these:

                           - miniport microsoft virtual wifi

                           - intel centrino wireless- N2230

                           - microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter #2

                           - Realtek PCIe FE family controller

                           - VMware virtual ethernet adapter for VMnet1

                           - VMware virtual ethernet adapter for VMnet8

I should mention that there are other bluetooth files in Intel's site, should i try them?

Cheers,

Re: Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

Hi,

Did you install these drivers?

                           - VMware virtual ethernet adapter for VMnet1

                           - VMware virtual ethernet adapter for VMnet8

If not try uninstalling them.

What the status of the bluetooth card, there should be an error code for it.

Cheers,

Re: Z500 IdeaPad, Bluetooth and LSC problems

I did uninstall the mentionned drivers. i've no idea of when or why they are there.

the bluetooth card status is activated according to the little squarred black window that appears when i hit F7.
