Z500 touchpad died

Hi,

Bought a z500 a week or two ago and now the touchpad isn't working.

I have seen a bunch of other threads for other models, but none specifically related to the z500.

The Fn+F6 thing doesn't seem to work as it doesn't do anything.

What are the other options?

Thanks,

Re: Z500 touchpad died

Mine did the same thing this week, it was due to a driver update from Microsoft that installed over the Lenovo one.

the way i got mine working was to download the driver from Lenovo website and reinstall again. If it will not let you install you might have to uninstall the old driver first.

Driver i used can be found here:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS031555

Hope that helps

Re: Z500 touchpad died

glad i could help, but if you get a problem in the future then best to download the driver and re install again. Microsoft like to keep things upto date, but that sometimes makes things worse!!. again glad i could help.
