Z500 unstable wifi

2013-10-14, 22:04 PM
Hello,

I bought my Z500 laptop in August and everything was fine until last week.
The wifi is very unstable all the time. Its like disconnect at least 3 times in a minute.
It definitely not the problem of the router cause other computers are working perfectly fine.

I have used OneKey Recovery to format my laptop. Can I still do that? If so, how?

If you have not use okr to restore to factory default, its possible to restore using windows depending on when okr has made the backup. But if you have choosen to restore to factory default you can't restore to lastweeks period using windows.

Try to uninstall any third party virus scanner first. Just use Windows Defender.

1. Boot to safemode.

2. Uninstall the wifi driver. Put a check mark if presented with option to delete the files.

3. Restart and let windows install its own wifi driver.

4. Disable bluetooth.

5. Connect to the internet

Re: Z500 unstable wifi poor range and connectivity

2013-10-16, 19:23 PM

I had purchased my Lenovo few months back and was so happy with it until I realized that my wifi range was poor and was quite unstable.  Is there a way to put this to proper shape?  I feel frustrated to work with the system and have to sit very close to the wifi modem to link my system to net. A few feet away and lost the wifi.  My fellow colleagues are able to access the wifi at work much better and my system doesn't support stable wifi connectivity.
