A few months ago I updated the HDD in my ThinkPad Z500T to an SSD. The laptop was running Windows 10, so I reinstalled that after changing the hard drive. Since changing the hard drive, the backlight on my keyboard no longer seems to work.
I've ensured that the ribbon cable which connects the keyboard is correctly located (which it is) by removing the keyboard to check, but also by testing out other fn-<key> combinations. All other combinations work, other that fn+space for the backlight.
I've tried resinstalling the BIOS (etc) but nothing seems to work... I've also looked for keyboard drivers but it seems that it only uses the standard keyboard driver available on Windows.
I attempted to contact Lenovo Support however they didn't reply to my emails.
Does anyone have any ideas why it doesn't work any more?
Thanks in advance!
