Z510 WiFi Problem Intel Wireless-N 7260

2014-07-18, 12:29 PM

Hello,

I've still the same problem as here: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Z510-Wireless-Problem/m-p/1369443#M109958 or here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/WiFi-unstable-on-Lenovo-Z510/td-p/1383113

Today I made 3 calls to Lenovo Polish Support. They remotely linked to my computer but nothing helped. They told me, that I go do post office and send my notebook.

My card: Intel Wireless-N 7260

My OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit

I try a lot of things, updates software and try a lot of older drivers and nothing help.

Please help me. I don't want send my notebook to service.

Maybe someone can connect remontely with my computer and solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for help.

Best regards,

Karol

@hariraj96

No. There is no mechanical damage. He was well-protected.

I'm pretty sure this is a driver issue.

Btw. Atheros is a company or what? I'm newbie and don't know. I think thats Intel card.

I'll do what you wrote in second post and let you know.

As for your second post, could you write me what I should do step by step?

Thanks in advance!

follow these steps

download the driver from

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS036007

then follow steps from this link .use above driver instead of broken link

On polish forum ppl give me some suggestion:

1) Turn off Bluetooth.

2) Turn off HT Mode.

3) Change standard 802.11n to802.11g.

I did the first and second point (third don't know how change it) and I'm testing now this settings and all looks good. But I need a few days to be sure.
