Z580 Wifi Connection Problem

Hi ,

I bought a Z580 with win 7 . I upgraded it to win8 Pro . I am using win7 Power management driver. If I switch on Wi-fi , Power management shows that wifi is on , but win8 shows that wifi is turned off..

How to rectify????

Re: Z580 Wifi Connection Problem

hi dvishnu95 ,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

By hitting F2 when you power the computer you'll be able to boot to BIOS

under Configurations Tab there is a WLAN setting make sure that it is enabled

Press F10 to save and Exit.

Once inside Windows 8 Press Windows + X the select Device Manager from the list

check the Network adapters Category and see if sees you wireless network adapter check if it has like an arrow down icon. Right click on it and choose enable.

If the wireless device icon seems to be fine, Still Right click on it and choose Uninstall then restart the system

Once Booted Back up, download this Driver maybe from a diff computer or by using a LAN Connection and Restart the system

Wireless LAN Driver (Intel, CyberTan, Liteon)
Intel WiMax Driver

Check if the wireless will now function

Best Regards

Solid Cruver
