Using Windows 8 and everytime I restart my computer I lose conection to the internet. I run troubleshooting and it resets my wireless adapter (Broadcom 802.11n) and it works again. But it is such a pain resetting the adapter everytime I boot it up. What can I do?

try removing the broadcom wifi device driver in device manger, but do not delete it, then reboot you notebook and windows should spot it and re-install the driver, hopefully this will fix the problem.

uninstall it, but do not tick the delete box or you will have to re-install the driver yourself, then just restart your notebook and windows should re-install the driver for you.

I bought a Z580 last week and have experienced the same problem, WLAN adapter just disappeared. Tried uninstalling the driver, rebooting the laptop but no joy. I removed/readded the WLAN adapter and it came back again, but after putting the laptop to sleep and starting up again the WLAN adapter disappeared again! Removed/readded it again and it came back again! Bug fix?

I've done few things that were suggested by different people...uninstalled mcafee antivirus...uninstall the wifi driver and install it again but with no luck. same thing happens...it's working sometimes and then it says limited connectivity. It drives me crazy! Please let me know if you have a solution. I've got the z580 , win 8 64 bit and Broadcom 802.11n network adapter. Thanks..

Hey, i'm having the same problem with the Z585...my card says 802.11n in device manager....do you know though if the wireless chip can run g or b also? i have a cisco aironet 1100 model and it runs on b band only from what i read...does anyone know for sure if the wireless chip in Z585 runs b and g too? thanks.
